What does this strop block do?

With this strop block you give a sharpened knife the finishing touch. The fine leather removes the last minute burrs and bumps and polishes the crease smoothly. Because the cut/fold is completely smooth, you will experience less resistance when cutting.

How to use this strop?

The strop block has a piece of leather on two sides. One side is slightly coarser and the other side is completely smooth. You use the block in the same way as a whetstone, but instead of pushing, you now pull the knife across the leather. Note that this works only after the knife has been sharpened.
