This Solinger Vanadin Sharpening Steel sharpens very evenly and fits well in the hand. This makes it a pleasure to work with this classic sharpening steel.
The sharpening steel has a high-quality fine surface and is equipped with 6 to 7 teeth per millimeter. This results in a very good sharpening effect.
It has a hardness of about 65 HRC (Rockwell hardness). This is necessary to sharpen even very hard knives. In addition, the the surface hard chrome-plated, which reduces susceptibility to corrosion reduces.
Because the sharpening rod is magnetized, particles do not accumulate on the sharpening rod and are washed away with the cleaning of the steel.
