Wusthof Ikon: luxury knives with an African wood handle
The Wusthof Ikon is the successor to the Wusthof Classic and Wusthof's most luxurious knife.
Its most striking feature is the handle made of African Grenadill wood. This type of wood has a dark brown color and is water-repellent. The color gives the knife a warm and luxurious look.
Laser-controlled sharpness across the entire blade
The Ikon knives have a short head between the handle and the blade. This makes the knife razor-sharp from the beginning to the end of the blade. It is made of a stainless steel (X50CrMoV15) that is forged to 58 hrc rockwell. The result is a knife that stays sharp for a long time yet is easy to sharpen yourself.
Thanks to Wusthof's Petec technique, each knife is perfectly sharpened. Therefore, a Wusthof Ikon knife does not need to be re-sharpened. The knife is not dishwasher safe.
