The Suncraft Senzo Classic: razor sharp from Japan
With the Suncraft Senzo Classic you have a modern Japanese boning knife at a competitive price.
VG-10 steel is used as the basis for the blade. This type of steel hardens well and has been hardened to 61 Rockwell by Suncraft. To protect the hard core layer, 32 layers of softer steel are folded over the core. These damask layers protect the knife and make the knife just a little more flexible. After placing the damask layer, the blade is hammered. As a result, all over the upper part of the blade are dimples that make food stick less during sharpening.
The handle is made of pakka wood. This gives the handle the appearance of a wooden handle without the troublesome maintenance. A red ring is placed between the handle and the blade, bringing the handle and the knife together in a stylish way.
