The Shizu Miyako combines classic Japanese Damascus design with affordability. Despite its reasonable price, this knife retains the essential qualities of a good Japanese knife. It is crafted from Japanese AUS-8 steel, which is well-known for its durability, ensuring the knife stays sharp for a long time.

The knife arrives razor-sharp out of the packaging and maintains its edge significantly longer than European knives. The finish is excellent, featuring beautiful Damascus patterns and a handle that is perfectly finished and comfortable to hold. The knife comes in stylish packaging, making it an ideal gift.

Damascus

This knife has several layers of steel to protect the core steel. These layers are called damask and are visible on the blade in unique patterns. They show the craftsmanship of the smith and give the knife a special appearance.

D-shaped handle

The D-shaped Wa handle is beautiful and precise. The handle is oval, like the Wa handle, but has a flat edge that gives it a "D" shape. This design gives right-handed people a better grip. This knife is not suitable for left-handed people.
