The Bonten Unryu series from Ryusen

The classic series from Ryusen. These knives are made of razor-sharp VG-10 steel. This hard type of steel stays sharp for a very long time. To protect the VG-10, 64 layers of softer stainless steel have been forged over it. These layers are then made visible and form a beautiful line pattern on the blade. The blade is then highly polished which gives it a luxurious look.

The combination of the hard and thin blade with the high gloss finish ensures that you have hardly any resistance when cutting. You cut more precisely and it takes less effort.

Impregnated wooden handle

The handle is made of multiple layers of wood impregnated at high pressure with wood. This makes it dirt- and water-resistant and requires no maintenance. The handle is seamlessly mounted to the blade so there is nowhere for dirt to accumulate.

Hand sharpened

The knives are hand sharpened by Ryusen's master sharpeners. In the process, each knife is carefully inspected so that they are guaranteed to be razor-sharp out of the box.

Ryusen Hamono

Ryuzen-Hamono manufactures knives in the Echizen region of Japan. There the knowledge gained over the past 700 years is combined with modern technology. All knives at Ryusen are hand-forged by artisans. As a result, each knife is a masterpiece.
