Ryusen Blowing Beak Paring Knife
Ryusen-Hamono manufactures knives in the Echizen region of Japan. There they combine 700 years of knowledge with modern techniques. All knives at Ryusen are hand-forged by artisans. That makes each Ryusen knife a masterpiece.
The Blazen series from Ryusen
Blazen is Ryusen's most advanced series. The knives are designed for professional chefs. The best steel is used; the Ryusen Blazen knives are made of SG2 powder steel that is forged with a hammer. This makes the knife rock hard, namely 62HRC Rockwell. To protect this hard core, the knife is laminated between 2 layers of SUS410L Steel.
Impregnated wooden handle
The handle is made of multiple layers of wood impregnated with resin at high pressure. This makes it dirt- and water-resistant and requires no maintenance. The handle is seamlessly mounted to the blade so there is nowhere for dirt to accumulate.
Hand sharpened
When a knife is hand sharpened by a Japanese master sharpener, you know it will be phenomenally sharp. As a final step, the knife is carefully inspected.
