Cast iron conducts heat very well and retains it well. This is why cast iron is the best material for roasting and stewing. This Relance pan is beautifully finished and has thin edges for better heat conduction. The sturdy cast iron lid ensures that the cooking juices remain in the pan so that the food does not dry out but remains nice and juicy.

The strong enamel coating protects the pan and prevents rusting. The pan is suitable for all heat sources (including induction and oven). So you can stew/broil recipes first and then let them cook slowly in the oven. The pan can be put in the oven with lid up to 230 degrees. Optionally, the casserole can be washed in the dishwasher but it is better to wash it by hand. In this way, the pan will only bake better.
