This knife is hand-forged by Toshihiro Wakui in Sanjo, Japan. He is a master in his craft and creates every knife entirely in-house. This special version is the result of a collaboration between Wakui San and Japanese Natural Stones. At JNS, the knife is hand-sharpened and polished on traditional Japanese Uchigomori stones. The result is a beautifully rounded knife with perfect fit and finish.
The knife comes with a handle made of luxurious Japanese Tamamoku wood and a buffalo horn ferrule. The kanji is hand-engraved on the tang. Therefore, the handle is delivered unattached to the knife. Would you like the handle attached? Let us know when placing your order, and we will professionally secure it for you.
