Crafted by legendary blacksmith Mr. Shigeyoshi Iwasaki, born in 1933 and trained by his father, Dr. Iwasaki Kousuke. This razor carries a rich legacy of Japanese craftsmanship. Dr. Kousuke was renowned for classifying Japanese steels such as "yellow paper," "white paper," and "blue paper,". He also played a significant role in studying ancient swords and knives at the Syousou-In treasure house, dating back to the 8th century.
Mr. Iwasaki, along with his skilled student Mr. Ryoichi Mizuochi, continues to produce these exceptional razors. Though semi-retired, he remains deeply involved in the craft, passing down his expertise to the next generation of blacksmiths in Sanjo.
