The Yorokobi is another beautiful knife from Hatsukokoro that stands out especially for its copper layers. The Yorokobi Kurouchi series is forged by Nigara and has a dark kurouchi finish.
The Yorokobi is made of SLD steel, a semi-stainless steel that will not rust under normal use. This type of steel is easy to sharpen and maintain yourself, so you will always have a sharp knife.
The blade is thin but not laser, starting slightly thicker and tapering off thin. The back and choil they nicely rounded so the knife is comfortable to hold with the pinch grip. The octagon (octagonal) handle is made of ebony.
- SLD steel with copper damask (62 HRC)
- Ebony handle
