Hatsukokoro works with various craftsmen to bring out unique knives. This series is made of a new type of powder steel called FAXR2. It has the same properties as SG2 so it is stainless steel and good for self sharpening. The knife is protected by multiple layers of stainless steel in a beautiful damask pattern. The knife is made by a well-known knife maker although it may not be disclosed.
