Real wok cooking is best done with a steel wok. With the modern wok from Demeyere, you can not only stir-fry, but also steam, deep-fry, bake and fry or boil. Moreover, this wok in multi-layer material was designed to optimally meet what is expected of an ideal wok. Each pan from the Demeyere specialty series is specially developed to optimize a particular cooking application.
Multiple layers of steel up to the edge

Demeyere woks are made of 7-ply material up to the rim. This multi-layer material with a thickness of 2.3 mm guarantees the perfect heat distribution for wok cooking: the wok gets very hot in the middle (230 degrees Celsius) and gradually gets cooler towards the edges but still hot enough to further cook the stir-fried ingredients (140 degrees Celsius). This eliminates the need for a non-stick coating.

Permanent silver white

The woks are treated with "Silvinox," a unique system of electrochemical surface treatment that enriches the material by removing iron and impurities from the surface. This makes the stainless steel easy to clean and offers higher resistance to fingerprints, harsh soaps or highly acidic foods. The products remain silvery white even after years of use.
